How does this theme apply to your civilization?
1. Demography and Disease
  • The kingdom of Mesopotamia was very rich and thriving. The people started using farming as their source of food and settling down into cities. The cities started thriving and more people developed more jobs as specialists, example iron workers and shipbuilders.
2. Migration
  • A group of Jews migrated from Persia to Egypt, they followed Moses.
3. Patterns of Settlement
  • The central group of Mesopotamians generally inhabited the Tigris and Euphrates River valleys which made farming better because the soil was rich with nutrients.
4. Technology
  • They developed iron and copper metallurgy which led to stronger and better tools and weapons.
  • The creation of the wheel made the cart and war chariots possible.
  • They made ships as a way to make travel quicker and trading with more people and civilizations possible.
